The kids were out this morning doing some yard work and found this. It's a Giant Whip Scorpion. Despite its terrifying appearance, it has no venom. Thank God!
It, and a friend, had taken up residence in the bottom of our small, waterless pond.
If the little guy cant get out you should help him out. These guys are on my top 5 favorite creepy crawlies cause they eat cockroaches. All killers of cockroaches are my friends! Oh an in this neck of the woods we call them vinegeroons. Got ta get that New Mexico slang down. lol
I found the Vinegeroon thing online too. We wanted to confirm they weren't venomous before we touched them. JT has plans to relocate the little guy and his lady.
